Samsung Reports Record Quarter on Galaxy Phone Sales
Samsung has reported a $7.3 billion profit in another record quarter, driven by sales of Samsung Galaxy smartphones, _Reuters_ reports.
This is a four straight record quarter for the company, and the projected yearly profit is also a record $25 billion. While the profits from Samsung’s chip business diminished, strong Galaxy sales generated around $4.5 billion, which is around two thirds of the company’s total profit.
